| Hey gang- I've been at the new church for about three weeks now, and i have decided to shut down the xanga site. I have started a new blog that i will be updating. Just a new season of life, and i thought i would make a change. If you have interest in checking in on the new blog you can find it at www.walkinawe.blogspot.com i will leave the xanga up for another week then delete it. I will probably leave up the myspace page, as i keep in touch with some friends that way. take care and God bless. | | |
| Just wanted to send along word that I have accepted a position to be Senior Minister at the McGuffey Church of Christ in Northwest Ohio. The church is just outside of Lima, Ohio. There are two colleges nearby, Ohio Northern University, and Bluffton College. You may have heard about the bus crash killing six Bluffton baseball players recently.
Kelly and I are very excited about the move. We will be starting on Palm Sunday, which is the first weekend in April. Thanks to all who have been praying for an opportunity for us. We are looking forward to full-time ministry once again.

Making a 'Rachel Print' We chased this down with some hot chocolate.
| Had an opportunity to be a little further North this past weekend. (Hopefully I'll explain more about that later...) It was about 9 degrees there. I haven't been in that kind of cold for a few years now. Yep. It's really cold. Especially without hair.
Anyhow, things are good. We are mostly healthy (Rachel got over a flu, and Kelly is getting a head cold) and overall we are doing fine. I continue to work in the restaurant, while looking for a ministry. Kelly is still working part time as well.
Here is Rachel and I tossing a snowball!
She likes to eat the snow. We have to rmind her that not all snow is...um...clean.
Hope you are well too. | | |
| Well, since a few people have asked latley what we are doing I thought I would update the Xanga page. Kelly, Rachel and I are living in Northern Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati. I am working as a kitchen manager, for the moment anways, and Kelly is working part time as well. We are waiting for a ministry to open up for us. Not sure what it will be, whether preaching or youth, or even something else. I know for certain that of all the opportunities we have looked at over the last six months none of them have been right for us.
Rachel is doing great. She continues to amaze us. She is going to be 2.5 this month. (techno aging?) Doesn't seem possible. She loves her new apartment and huge bedroom, and is looking forward to Christmas. Since I don't really know much else to say, I will end here. Thanks for your concern...and your prayers, they are appreciated. Hopefully we will find a place to serve soon. Until then, we will remain faithful and diligent in our lives together. rick
